Bob Sagat as Danny Tanner
At the beginning of the show, Danny is a recently widowed father of three girls: DJ, Stephanie, and Michelle. He’s asked his wife Pam’s brother and one of his friends to move in and help out. He’s a sportscaster at a local TV station, but in season two is given a morning show called Wake Up, San Francisco, which he hosts with Becky.

John Stamos is Jesse Katsopolis (Cochran in season one).
Jesse is Danny’s brother-in-law who moves in to help out after Pam’s death. He’s an Elvis-obsessed musician known for his attention to his hair (a mullet in season one). He’s an exterminator at first, but later goes into advertising with Joey. He and Becky eventually get married and have twins, Nicky and Alex.

Dave Coulier as Joey Gladstone
Joey is Danny’s best friend who moves in to help out after Pam’s death. He’s a stand-up comedian and later goes into advertising with Jesse. He’s known for doing impressions and his love of cartoons.
Catchphrase: “Cut. It. Out.

Candace Cameron as DJ Tanner
DJ is Danny’s oldest daughter. Her best friend Kimmy lives next door. DJ is in 5th grade at the start of the series.
Catchphrase: “Oh Mylanta.”

Jodie Sweetin as Stephanie Tanner
Stephanie is Danny’s middle daughter, starting kindergarten at the beginning of the series.
Catchphrase: “How rude.”

Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen as Michelle Tanner
Michelle is Danny’s youngest daughter, only a baby when the show starts.
Catchphrase: “You got it, dude.”

Lori Laughlin as Rebecca (Becky) Donaldson
Becky arrives in season two to co-host Wake Up San Francisco. She later marries Jesse and they have twins, Nicky and Alex.

Andrea Barber as Kimmy Gibbler
Kimmy is DJ’s best friend who lives next door. Kimmy is strange and obnoxious, but lovable.
